When he started hooking up the sound system on New Year’s
Day, I had no idea what a treat we would get.
Malcolm (whose name I thought was Michael) did not let the crowd down! Everyone sang, danced, and had a great
time. One of my favorites was the “Blurred
Lines” dance performed by the kids and their leader, Mr. Malcolm himself. HD Arnold-Malcolm, that is. HD stands for “high-definition.” I know this,
because I asked. ;) The
name says it all! This crazy guy put
smiles on our faces the entire time we were at Kwa Watoto. Though he was most interested in getting to
know the cute red-head on the trip, he did spend time with big-sis,
Lyndee. Ha! I think I offended my little bro by not
giving him a shout-out in my last post.
So, here you go…Malcolm….this one’s for you.
It was immediately obvious that you are a great guy to have
around at Kwa Watoto! The older kids
look up to you, and so do the younger ones.
I noticed so many great things about you, especially about the way you
cared for others. I was most impressed
by the things you did “behind the scenes.”
So many times I saw you get ice cream or water for the little ones. I saw you help Janet with many things. It is obvious that you are a hard worker. You also shine as a leader! The greatest leaders I have known have also
been servants. You have both of those
qualities! I am so thankful the kids at
Kwa Watoto have you as their leader and as one who serves them. There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord
has great things for your future. I
think of you often and will pray for you always. I’m proud to call you my friend and my little
brother. Take care of your siblings,
cousins, and all those sweet kids that look up to you.
PS – You also rock that Texas Tech t-shirt! I’ll have to bring you another one next time
I come. J
OMG!!!! did i rily have to receive all that praise? Am so humbled by these and thanks so much for the shout-out. I like the video and am a fan of your blog. You are just awesome
